I can't believe this year is going by so quickly! I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter holiday and that you made the most of the lovely weather we had. Hopefully it will last this year!
Our topic for this term is 'In the Garden'. We have created a garden centre in our role play area, where the children will have lots of opportunities to write shopping lists, buy and sell and plant seeds. Whilst doing all of this they will have lots of fun. Our Science this term links very much with our theme and will allow us to use our green fingers! Our history topic is houses and homes. Amongst other things, we will be walking around the local area looking at the different types of houses and we will visit St Fagan's where we will be able to go into and look at how houses have changed over the years by viewing the Rhyd- y-Car houses. Throughout the term we will also have a visit from PC Parker who will take us for a walk and talk to us about road safety.
P.E will continue to be on a Wednesday afternoon, this half term we are doing 'dance' followed by 'ball games' after half term. We will continue with our library visits as regularly as we can on Wednesday afternoons.
Permission slips for trips and walks will be sent out on paper as and when they are organised.
Please can you save any egg boxes you have so that we can make flowers out of them to sell in the garden centre.
From next week spellings will appear on Class 3's blogg. If you require a paper copy please let me know.
