Our topic for the
Summer Term is ‘Sand Between My Toes’.
We spent time as a class deciding what we would like to learn about,
below is the topic web we generated together.
As you can see the children have lots of ideas and I’m sure we will be
very busy this term addressing them.
PE this term will be on
a Monday and Wednesday. As the weather
improves, we hope to have PE lessons outside so please include trainers and a
tracksuit. You are welcome to leave PE
kits in school.
We encourage the
children to drink water throughout the day.
It is far more hygienic if the children have their own water bottle in
school (named please) that they can fill using our water coolers.
New reading books will
continue to be given out on a Friday.
Please continue to comment on your child’s reading, the comments are
read and valued. Learning logs will
continue every fortnight, we are currently looking into the comments made on
parents’ evening concerning Learning Logs.
Our History topic for
this term will look at how seaside holidays have changed over time. If any parents/grandparents/family members
would like to write a letter, make a recording or come into school to talk
about their holidays when they were young, we would be very grateful.
If at any time you have
any questions or concerns, please come and make an appointment to see me.
Thank you,
Mrs Farrell, Mrs Evans
and Miss Rees
