Dear Parents and Children
Welcome back to the last half term of the school year. We can hardly believe how quickly the time has gone!

We still have lots of things to cover but we were really pleased, when we looked back through the children's workbooks with all they have achieved so far this year. We are really proud of them! Thank you for all your support  with home tasks and home reading. The extra practise helps to consolidate all the skills we learn in school-This makes all the difference.

We have planned some lovely activities for this term - We will be practising for sports day, planning a pirate party, completing a science investigation, creating some art work with natural materials and dancing with streamers!
In Maths we are learning about doubles and halves, subtraction using money in order to give change, place value, capacity, odds and evens, estimating and ordering Phew!!
In Language we are continuing our Big Write and this week we will be looking at adjectives and using these to write our own Acrostic poem.
In ICT the children will  be creating a questionnaire to find out about seaside holidays in the past and this will link to our History for the term where we will be focusing on the differences between the seaside past and present. The questionnaire will be sent home on Monday the 16th June as a home task.

We have visitors from ESTYN in class next week and the children are looking forward to showing how well they work, they are always well behaved and polite and we are sure the inspectors will enjoy their visit to our class.
Mrs Udy and Mrs Evans
