As part of encouraging the children to read outside school and look at signs etc and to tie in with our 50 day,this weekend I am going to ask the children to read 50 words. They can be anywhere not neccesarily a reading book. You can help the children to build the words if they do not know the word on sight. Once your child has read the fifty words please can you send in a note to say that they have done it you do not necssarily have to write the fifty words down. Also you coud write the most unusual place your child read to make it fun.
This week we have also been making small words from larger words. The children have set themselves a competition to find out how many words they can get from "metamorphosis" so we decided to open it up for you to help your child.
