Learning Logs

We carry out homework tasks through learning logs. This is when we give just basic information of the task and your child can choose how they will complete the homework (often with input from you!). This means that they are able to complete the homework to their level of ability and in a way that they feel comfortable learning. I will put on more information on Learning Logs later today.
Please feel free to decorate the learning log, please make sure their name is on the front of the book.
Please bring in the learning logs by Monday.

We are learning to recognise the coins 1p 2p 5p 10p 20p 50p £1 £2.
You could draw around the coins and label them.
You could write about how each coin looks - it's shape, colour, size.
You could play a matching game and take a photo of your child playing it.

We want to find out what happens at a wedding.
You could talk about a wedding you have been to and write some notes.
You could draw the main features of a wedding - wedding party, rings, cake etc
You could cut pictures out of a magazine or from the Internet and label them.
You could stick in a photo of you at a wedding and write some sentences about the day underneath.
(We will be finding out more about weddings at school, so this wouldd be a starting point)

Thank you, Mrs Farrell
