Just a quick note about homework bags.

We ask that homework bags are brought into school everyday so that we are able to comment in the diaries when we listen to the children read. Home readers are only changed on a Friday. This is due to the very full timetable we have in class. Time is alloted in the timetable for a member of staff to read your valuable comments and change the books. When changing the books, if you have not commented we assume that you have had a busy week and want to keep the book for another week.
Therefore please ensure homework bags are in school on a Friday if your child's book needs changing.

Please encourage your child to read lots of books at home, they often enjoy 'real' books far more than 'scheme' books and they can spark alot of conversation about plot, characters and illustrations.
