Dear Parents,
It was lovely to see you all this week and have the opportunity to chat about your children. We hope that you are as pleased as we are with the progress they are making. I know they benefit so much, not only from lesson, but also from the work you do at home with them. Thank you for your very positive comments about us as teachers we were really encouraged!

Next term our topic will be 'Seaside Explorers'. We will be learning about the seaside past and present, geographical features of a seaside, environmental art, stories and poetry with a seaside focus. As you can see we have a very busy term ahead. Our role play area is going to be a beach and an ice cream van and we're going to ask the children to make an item to display in this area. They can choose what to make but we would like it to fit in with the theme such as- fish, crabs, shells, seagull, kite etc. If you have any spare 'seaside' items we could use such as buckets and spades, beach towels, paddling pools, sun hats/glasses etc please could you give them to your child to bring in.

We hope you have a lovely holiday and the children have a well deserved break!
Mrs Udy and Mrs Evans
